Personal profile:Kai Ding, Ph.D., Associate Professor. He received fully funded from the “Hong Kong Scholars” Plan of National Postdoctoral Management Office, and as a visiting postdoctoral scholar at the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University from Jan., 2019 to Dec., 2020. During this period, he mainly researched a digital twin-based cyber-physical production system under the supervision of Prof. Felix T.S. Chan. This report will focus on the brief introduction of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and the research progress on digital twin-based cyber-physical production system.
